Purpose:
To build mass and tone the front and side deltoids. This
exercise is very similar to the military press, however,
you get a much better range of motion by performing the
exercise with dumbbells.
Muscles Involved:
Deltoids
Triceps
Seated
on a chair bench, rest two dumbbells on your thighs.
Bring
the dumbbells straight up until your elbows are
locked and the dumbbells are touching your shoulders.
Begin
to push the dumbbells upward while rotating your
elbows outward so that your hands and elbows are
facing away from your body (Shown here).
Press
the dumbbells until your arms are fully extended.
Return to the starting position, shown in 'Step
2.'
